Alan Shearer has backed Wolves to become the latest side to win away at Manchester United. Vitor Pereira's side head to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon and are fancied for victory by the ex-Newcastle striker, who claimed he's "not impressed with Man United at all".

The Red Devils have been riding high in recent days after a historic comeback in the Europa League, where they scored three late goals to overcome Lyon. It means they're into the last four of the competition but their form in Europe has been in stark contrast to their Premier League results.

United's last outing saw them well-beaten as Newcastle earned a 4-1 win. It has compounded a brutal reality for fans of the club with Ruben Amorim's side having only beaten one team outside the bottom three in the entirety of 2025.

The Red Devils have continued to fall short at Old Trafford with the likes of Brighton and Crystal Palace leaving Manchester with all three points. Wolves saw off United in December at Molineux and Shearer believes, after their midweek high, that Amorim's men will be presented with another reality check.

He told Betfair: "Tough one to call after Man United went to extra time in the Europa League. Wolves are flying and playing great football.

"I'll go for an away win. I'm really not impressed with Man United at all this season so it wouldn't surprise me if Wolves went to Old Trafford and won."

Amorim has already conceded he will prioritise United's Europa League ambitions, and revealed that he will unafraid to blood youngsters in the Premier League, though admitted it was not an easy decision. The club have little to play for in the division and languish 14th in the table ahead of their clash with Wolves.

“I think it is not the best moment or the best season to put some kids to play, because, again, they need a strong base to really show what they can do. But in this moment we need to do it and sometimes you have surprises.

"Ayden [Heaven] just played and I can be honest, we did it because we had injuries in that moment. But today, I think Ayden is my player so when he is ready and facing the competition in the team, he is ready to play.

"So you don't know. Amass did really well today. Chido, [Obi] when he played, he played quite well. It is a difficult moment, it is not the right moment for the kids to play, but if we have to do it then we will do it.”
